Shed now has an easy access door
We love our guests using the shed to keep their toys and bikes safe and their wetsuits dry.
Their feedback was, however, that the big double doors were unwieldy and easily caught the wind.
We have therefore just added a pedestrian door to the shed to allow much easier access.
Enjoy the door.

Star Gazer Special Deals
We are delighted that Isle of Coll has been awarded Dark
Skies Status and are now able to offer a special deal for those wishing to
visit the island to take advantage of some of the darkest skies in Europe.
White House Lodge is ideally located for star gazing due its location on the
island – no other properties are visible, so no lights to cause light
pollution. In fact the only artificial lights you will ever see are the
occasional jet liner and the Hyskeir lighthouse near the Small Isles.
January, February and March are ideal for star gazing on the
Isle of Coll. Darkness falls anytime from 5 pm all the way through until 8 am.
Cloud cover varies throughout the year, but traditionally there has been good
star gazing conditions during this period.
During our Star Gazer special deal period you can book 4
nights at White House Lodge for Just £400 and 7 nights for £600. To take
advantage of these special rates, please go here : http://www.whitehouselodge.co.uk/make-an-enquiry/
and put Star Gazer into the comments box!
What are you waiting for?.....

We've chosen White House Lodge for our honeymoon!
We are delighted that Graeme and Kerry from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, have chosen White House Lodge for their honeymoon.
Having recently got engaged on the Isle of Skye, they then scoured the hills, glens and isles for a suitable location to recover after their wedding in September. White House Lodge was chosen for its perfect mix of luxury, coastal chic, availability and price!
Charlotte and Lauchlan wish them all the best for their special day.

Order your meals direct from your next door neighbour
When you stay at White House Lodge you may tire of cooking in the beautiful German designer kitchen, and prefer to just pop something pre-made into the oven.
You are in luck since your neighbours down at the White House run a successful ready meal operation – free range beef and lamb reared in the surrounding fields are turned into delicious meals ready for you to just heat through.
Our current favourite is Moroccan lamb tagine with apricots. Seonaid Maclean-Bristol has been cooking these tasty meals for a number of years and has been persuaded to take orders from White House Lodge – and deliver them! They can be order fresh or frozen. To book just email Seonaid at info@grishipol.co.uk or call her on 01879 230 247. More details here >>>

Front cover of Nordan Door and Windows catalogue
We are delighted to have made the front cover of the latest Nordan Doors and Windows. This is the Norwegian company that supplied the windows and doors for White House Lodge.
Nordan have always loved our project since it is the perfect environment to showcase their windows. The harsh coastal weather destroys lesser makes of window!
All the external doors and windows (apart from the one into the dining area) are light coloured timber that are skimmed with a cool grey aluminium covering. This means the windows should keep you nice and snug for longer when staying at White House Lodge.
The main aim of this brochure is to push Nordan Windows and Doors for self-builders like ourselves. There are ten really interesting completed building projects, so it is actually well worth a read. To see a full copy of their (beautiful) brochure you can download it here >>>
