Order your meals direct from your next door neighbour

When you stay at White House Lodge you may tire of cooking in the beautiful German designer kitchen, and prefer to just pop something pre-made into the oven.

You are in luck since your neighbours down at the White House run a successful ready meal operation – free range beef and lamb reared in the surrounding fields are turned into delicious meals ready for you to just heat through.

Our current favourite is Moroccan lamb tagine with apricots. Seonaid Maclean-Bristol has been cooking these tasty meals for a number of years and has been persuaded to take orders from White House Lodge – and deliver them! They can be order fresh or frozen. To book just email Seonaid at info@grishipol.co.uk or call her on 01879 230 247. More details here >>>

Front cover of Nordan Door and Windows catalogue

White House Lodge - Nordan
We are delighted to have made the front cover of the latest Nordan Doors and Windows. This is the Norwegian company that supplied the windows and doors for White House Lodge.
Nordan have always loved our project since it is the perfect environment to showcase their windows. The harsh coastal weather destroys lesser makes of window!

All the external doors and windows (apart from the one into the dining area) are light coloured timber that are skimmed with a cool grey aluminium covering. This means the windows should keep you nice and snug for longer when staying at White House Lodge.

The main aim of this brochure is to push Nordan Windows and Doors for self-builders like ourselves. There are ten really interesting completed building projects, so it is actually well worth a read. To see a full copy of their (beautiful) brochure you can download it here >>>

Summer Update

What has been happening at White House Lodge, Isle of Coll?

We're half way through a busy season here on the island. We've received some excellent feedback, fantastic photos and great memories. With some of the best weather in years, our guests have had amazing holidays. Charlotte and I even managed to get a weeks holiday at White House Lodge in June, with the kids.We swam in the sea, flew kites on the beach and canoed with basking sharks - fabulous.
If you are looking for a good excuse to visit the Isle of Coll, the following activities may provide some inspiration  :
The Ultimate LoColl Cookery Course: Foraging and Feasting
Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September - Isle of Coll
A three-day residential foraging and local cookery course. With round-the-clock tuition from Christopher Trotter, chef and food writer, culminating in a final feast of foraged and local produce. Participants will source and cook everything – oh… and eat it, too!

This is a great idea when you are staying at White House Lodge and you are tired of feasting on fresh langoustines and  Grishipol Home Foods. Have a pot of tea or coffee, and something sweet, whilst sitting in the comfort of the Lounge or outside in the garden at Tigh Na Mara. This guest house is the first building you see when leaving the ferry terminal on Coll and has spectacular views towards Mull and the Treshnish Isles.
